Antiques With Inn features two private bedrooms that share a sunny, wicker-filled parlor with a fireplace, lots of books for guest reading, a full country kitchen, and a bath.* The suite is on the second floor of a charming 1907 farmhouse, overlooking old fashioned gardens or snow covered fir trees, depending on the time of year. Specialties include a private entrance, an oak shaded deck (with grill), and a huge clawfoot bathtub for your soaking pleasure. Guests are welcome in the Music Room downstairs to play the upright grand or our antique pump organ, and listen to 33's on the wind-up victrola. Walk the pine needle ...
My husband and I absolutely adored our first stay at Antiques With Inn, which was part of our belated honeymoon. Our bedroom felt luxurious. The grounds were beautiful: flowers and antique objets d'art, ripening acorns, surrounded by great pines. We especially loved our relaxed morning coffees with the inn keepers, and terrific breakfasts (served one morning on the delightful upstairs deck, which felt like eating in a tree house, and another morning in the Inn's colorful back yard, truly a living impressionist painting, a vibrant feeling akin to Pierre Bonnard's "Dining Room in the Country"). We are returning shortly for a mid-winter visit. This is one of New London's best kept secrets!
